Why do we foster? Fostering is, in theory, when a family accepts the duty of caring for a child or young person when that child or young person's biological family is unable or unable to do so. A birth family may be unable to provide for their kid for a variety of reasons, including parental sickness or death, domestic abuse, or neglect of the child at home. Foster parents act as one of the many "professionals around the kid" to help a child in need by bringing about both short-term and long-term change. One of the biggest employers in the borough is Croydon Council, which employs roughly 6121 people overall, including in its schools. Additionally, the council significantly boosts the local economy.
